Football season is officially here, and that means you’re always on the hunt for the next perfect appetizer for game day. Well, look no further, because we have the perfect (and easy!) recipe for you.
10-Minute Nacho Cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup half and half
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 can (4-ounces) diced jalapenos
2 cups shredded Wisconsin cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded Wisconsin Colby cheese
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and cook, whisking constantly, until incorporated, about 1-2 minutes. Stir in half-and-half, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika until slightly thickened, about 1 minute.
Stir in jalapeños and cheeses until melted, about 1-2 minutes. If the mixture is too thick, add more milk as needed; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
And there you go! Happy fans for the whole game. And don’t forget about our sports-themed cutouts to add a little more “oomph” to your display.
